Beautiful town house in the heart of Murazzano

The ‘ancient’ (older than 1900) house in Via Lorenzo Bruno in Murazzano (CN), in the heart of the historic centre (below the old city walls), overlooks the neighbouring houses in the Po Valley from the living room on the third floor and offers a fantastic view of the Ligurian and French Alps.

Like all the houses here, the house is built on a hillside. This means that access from the small single-lane village road (one-way) is at ground level with a garage. On the east side, access is at ground level at the height of the living room (3rd floor). Despite its ‘normal’ windows, the house is flooded with light and offers a variety of possibilities thanks to its open floor plan.

On the ground floor, there is a wine cellar with a vaulted ceiling, the boiler room with an oil heating system and oil tank that needs to be replaced. However, all pipes are already ‘up to date’ and there are radiators in all rooms. And the garage, which can comfortably accommodate two vehicles.

The first floor, accessible via a tiled staircase, currently comprises the utility room with two further rooms (without windows) – which could be converted or extended. This floor also leads to the first living room with an open fireplace and mahogany flooring.

The centrepiece is the curved staircase, which leads without a door to the open living room above. The living room extends across the entire floor. It features an open round fireplace, a kitchen and a guest WC. The entrance/exit to the east side is also located here. The staircase coming from below opens here into a ‘small hall’ leading to the fourth floor.

On the fourth floor, there are two bedrooms, each with its own fully equipped bathroom. The large bedroom also has a dressing room.

The entire attic (with sloping ceilings) is not converted, but offers planning space for an incredible roof terrace with the best view in town.

The house is furnished to a high standard and has mahogany parquet flooring in the living areas. The bathrooms and utility areas are tiled. The bathrooms are fully equipped.

Location
The house is located 25 metres from the lower Piazza Umberto and 50 metres from the central village square. There is a kiosk, hairdresser and an osteria in the immediate vicinity. The centre of Murazzano offers all the shops you need for your daily needs: a kiosk, café, two osterias, post office, ATM, small supermarket with bakery and a pasticceria.

All leisure activities can be found in the surrounding area: the immediate vicinity is home to the most famous Italian red wines (Barolo, Barbera, Barbaresco, etc.) and invites you to take a walk through vineyards and small villages with ice cream parlours and street cafés.

The sea on the picturesque Ligurian coast is an hour away. The Alps for hiking or skiing are within easy reach. The very attractive city of Turin with its European airport can be reached in just over an hour.
